KARUPATTI SWEET HALWA

Taste the Tradition, Sweetened with Pure Palm Jaggery  

Description:  
Karupatti Halwa is a cherished South Indian treat made with pure Palm Jaggery (Karupatti), a natural sweetener known for its rich flavor and health benefits. Unlike sweets made with sugar, this halwa uses palm jaggery powder sourced from reliable palm-rich regions, both full of minerals and natural energy.

Ingredients:  

1 cup, Wheat flour or Rice flour  

1 cup, Palm Jaggery (Karupatti), grated  

½ cup, Ghee  

3 cups, Water  

2 tbsp, Coconut bits (optional)  

1 tbsp, Cashews  

A pinch, Cardamom powder  

Preparation Method:  

Melt the Karupatti:  
Add grated palm jaggery to warm water. Let it dissolve completely, then strain to remove impurities.     

Roast the Flour:  
Lightly roast the flour in ghee until it gives off a nice aroma.    

Mix and Cook:  
Gradually add the jaggery syrup to the roasted flour, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.  

Flavor and Texture:  
Add cardamom powder, fried cashews, and coconut bits. Stir until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the pan.  

Finish with Ghee:  
Add a bit more ghee for a glossy, melt-in-your-mouth texture.  

Serve Warm:  
Enjoy warm for the true, earthy sweetness that takes you back to traditional homemade desserts.
